Because we believe that God designed marriage between a man and woman to last a lifetime, the goal of Shelter Cove Community Church is to properly prepare you for the commitment you are about to make. There are a variety of ways in which you can attend premarital classes to fit your particular schedule and situation.

MAINTAIN YOUR MARRIAGE

Statistics show that couples who attend support groups, classes, or seminars to build their relationship and life skills have a lower divorce rate. Weekly classes are offered throughout the year in areas such as: healthy marriage communication and marriage strengthening tools, parenting, financial, and issues surrounding addictions (Celebrate Recovery).

Marriage 911 Ministry is Shelter Cove’s “first response” for couples or separated people who want to learn new, healthy ways of communicating in their marriage and family.

Anger Management God’s Way—a 13 week class

Open to all adults. While anger is a natural emotion, it is our response to anger that can be destructive or constructive. Learn how to make anger a positive force in your life. Begins Aug 2, ends Oct 25. Meets Mondays from 6:30-8:30pm in the upstairs Treasure Cove room. Childcare is available to those who preregister their children. Facilitated by John & Juanita Harter. Enhance your marriage—a 13 week class!
The principles that will make a marriage strong, enduring and fun are easy to identify yet a challenge to implement. The good news is that God’s plan works! Begins Aug 24, ends Nov 16. Meets Tuesdays from 6:30-8:30pm upstairs in the Treasure Cove Room. Facilitated by John & Juanita Harter. Materials fee $20.

Marriage 911: A First Response for Your Marriage

Yes, You Can Have A Better Marriage—A 13-week class
For couples or separated people who want to learn new, healthy ways of communicating in their marriage and family. Begins Mar 30, ends June 22. Meets Tuesdays from 6:30-8:30pm upstairs in the Treasure Cove room. Facilitated by John & Juanita Harter. Optional $20-30 workbook (weekly payments available) Childcare available to those who preregister their children.

Blended Families: A Home Group

Utilizing Basic Training for Remarriage and Stepfamilies, this group focuses on meeting the needs of married couples with blended families. Meets weekly on Sunday evenings from 6:00-7:30pm in a Modesto home. Optional Workbook $20. Call Jeff and Cheryl Oliveira at 209-551-9002/ 209-380-3606.

Married Couples Small Group Monthly Study

Meets last Monday of every month from 6:00-8:30pm. Facilitated by Jeff and Linda Barrios at their home at 1120 Mandarin Ct., Modesto, To register call 209-571-2729
