First Impressions Ministry is about creating an atmosphere of warmth and welcome; providing a “safe” environment for people to take their next step toward Christ.When people step onto the campus of Shelter Cove Community Church, they come in contact with volunteer teams that are all here to make sure your experience here at SCCC is a great experience. We want our guests to say “Wow! I’m impressed, within the first 10 minutes of their visit. We want people to know that they are important to us by providing a warm, and safe environment for them to take their next step toward Christ.
We have five primary teams to get involved in serving:
1. Greeters- welcome our guests from the curb, to the front doors to the main auditorium.
2. Ushers- offer assistance in finding a seat, pass out bulletins, Bibles, and take up offering.
3. Newcomers 9- make intentional effort to welcome guests through passing out welcome packets and answer questions after each service.
4. NewComers Lunch Hosts- attend and host a table during our newcomers lunch.
5. Connection Partner Phone Team- make phone calls during the week to thank our guest for attending.
